About us

Who we are?

We are a family-owned business based in Texas, born from something very personal. As we were looking for resources for our own children, we couldn’t find enough that is rooted in the Coptic Orthodox faith but relevant to them. We found ourselves asking: How can we help our children grow up knowing and loving their faith and their Church, while also speaking to them in a way that feels like their world? That question became the beginning of Blue Bone Designs.

We create resources for Coptic Orthodox families, children, youth, and churches that bring together the richness of our faith with the creativity, beauty, and language of today. Everything we create is designed to make faith something the next generations can see, explore, enjoy, and carry with them. Something they can connect with, and pass down the faith we have received.

We also believe that cost shouldn't stand in the way of sharing the Word of God. We strive to make our products as accessible and affordable as possible, so families and churches can leverage without cost becoming a barrier.

Why “Blue Bone”?

The name Blue Bone carries a story of strength, endurance, and faith. Throughout the history of the Coptic Church, Christians have endured persecution for their faith. The blue marks left by the chains became lasting reminders of a faith that could not be broken or erased. For us, Blue Bone represents that same spirit: a faith that leaves a mark.

Blue also reminds us of heaven, peace, and the eternal life we look towards. Bone speaks of strength, foundation, and life, even bringing to mind Ezekiel’s vision of dry bones being brought back to life. Together, the name reminds us of what we hope to pass on to the next generation: a faith that is deeply rooted, strong enough to endure, and alive enough to grow.
